NEVER SAY U DON'T HAVE A CHOICE,
Hope you'll find this helpful in some way,
The 10 axioms of Choice Theory.--William Glasser..
1. The only person whose behavior we can control is our own
2. All we can give or get from other people is information. How we deals with this information is our choice .
3. All long lasting psychological problems are relationship problems. The cause of misery is always our way of dealing with an important relationship that is not working as we want it to.
4. The problem relationship is always part of our current lives.
5. What has happened in the past that was painful has a great deal to do with what we are today, but revisiting this painful past can contribute nothing or little to what we need to do now improving am important, present relationship.
6. We are driven by our five genetic needs: survival, love and belonging, power, fun and freedom. The degree of the various needs are different but none of it cannot be done without.
7.We can satisfy these needs only by satisfying pictures in our quality world.
Quality world contains what we wants most in our life. The picture refers to wants that we believe can satisfy our genetic needs.
when we perceived what we can HAVE fall short of what we WANT Frustration
thus we either adjust what our WANTS to be more achievable or we try to improve our chance of achieving our goals.
8. All we can do from birth to death is behave. All the activity we do are Total behavior, which includes our feeling, thinking, action and physiology.
9. All total behavior are designated by verbs. We must be able to describe the behavior and verbally say that we choose to be e.g depressed. The knowledge that there is a choice is liberating.
10. All the total behavior are chosen Though control of our action and thinking,
we will be able to influence how we feel and behave
